Ranch Bread

Delicious homemade bread, with a ranch or village bread flavor that you won't believe how tasty it is. The advantages of this recipe are that you get a bread free of preservatives or any chemical products commonly added in industrial bakeries. Delicious!

  • 2 kilos flour
  • 2 kilos whole-wheat flour
  • 1 kilo sugar
  • 1/3 cups cinnamon powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 4 tablespoons dry yeast
  • 1/4 cups vanilla essence
  • 200 grams yeast, fresh
  • 1 kilo vegetable shortening
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 1/2 liters cow's milk

  • Combine all the dry ingredients and add the butter, mixing it in very well.
  • Add the eggs, vanilla, and milk, aiming for a soft dough.
  • Let it rest until it rises.
  • Form slightly large balls of dough, knead them twice to make a thick and small tortilla. Poke the center with a fork.
  • Place them in greased molds, bake at 180 degrees C for about 25 to 30 minutes.
