Scottish Style Oat Triangles

A delicious recipe of Scottish origin, this snack is known as Flapjack. A dessert easy to make and with a flavor you'll love. Delicious oat triangles sprinkled with sugar and cinnamon.

  • 150 grams lard
  • 2/3 cups raw sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1/4 cups flour
  • 3 cups oats

  • Preheat the oven to 175° C. In a bowl, with an electric mixer, beat the softened butter, sugar, and vanilla. The mixture should be fluffy.
  • Without stopping the mixer, add the flour and half of the oats. Mix well.
  • With a wooden spatula, add the rest of the oats. Incorporate everything. In a 22-centimeter mold, place the mixture and press down the dough.
  • Using a knife, divide into 8 triangles without reaching the bottom. Just mark. Bake the triangles for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool in the mold, then separate and serve.
