Baked Breakfast with Ham and Manchego Cheese

Have fun preparing this breakfast for the whole family with croissants, ham, and all the flavor of Caperucita® Manchego cheese, which will give it an unmatched consistency. It is perfect for family weekends and is also a great option for the little ones at home.

  • 2 tablespoons butter, in cubes
  • 1 1/2 cups whipping cream
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg

  • 6 croissants, from the bakery
  • 1 1/2 cups deli ham, in slices and rolled
  • 1 1/2 cups Caperucita® manchego cheese in cubes
  • 1 tablespoon candied sesame seeds, for accompaniment
  • fresh oregano, for decoration

  • In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter, then pour in the whipping cream and bring to a boil, constantly stirring with a whisk to prevent sticking to the saucepan. Remove from heat and let cool.
  • Once cooled, pour the whipping cream into a deep bowl and add the eggs, mustard, garlic powder, and nutmeg. Season with salt and pepper and incorporate all the ingredients using a whisk.
  • Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
  • Brush a rectangular baking dish with butter, place the croissants inside, and fill the empty spaces with rolled ham; pour the egg mixture and add the Caperucita® Manchego cheese in cubes. Sprinkle the candied sesame over the entire surface and bake for 18 minutes at 180 °C.
  • Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, and decorate with fresh oregano. The breakfast is ready!
