Cheese and Bacon Biscuits

This biscuit recipe features cheddar cheese and bacon, giving them a great flavor perfect for accompanying breakfast.

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoons salt
  • 3 1/2 tablespoons butter, fried, cut into pieces
  • 1/3 cups cheddar cheese, finely grated
  • 2 slices bacon, cooked and chopped
  • 3/4 cups cow's milk, to make the buttermilk
  • 1/4 cups water

  • Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
  • Mix the flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl. Stir well.
  • Cut the butter into pieces and place in a food processor.
  • Add the mixed flour and pulse a few times.
  • Add the cheese and bacon. Pulse again two times.
  • Add the milk with lemon, and 1/4 cup of water. Pulse until the dry ingredients are moistened.
  • On a greased baking sheet, use a spoon to place 2 tablespoons of the dough (well spaced) and fill the sheet with the biscuits.
  • Bake for 11 minutes in the oven or until golden brown.
  • Serve hot.
