Cointreau Soufflé

I love hot buns, so I hope you enjoy this one and that you can prepare it. It has an orange flavor, perfect for breakfast. I hope you like it... hugs and kisses ;)

  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cups icing sugar
  • 1/4 cups orange juice, concentrated
  • 1 orange peels, grated
  • 5 vanilla bean, crumbled
  • 2 tablespoons Cointreau, orange liqueur
  • 1/2 cups orange juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1/4 cups orange jam
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1/4 cups sugar

  • Beat the egg yolks with the powdered sugar, the orange juice, and the orange zest until they are thick and creamy. Incorporate the ladyfingers and the Cointreau and continue beating.
  • In another bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Gently fold them into the orange mixture.
  • Divide the mixture into 4-6 small baking dishes of 1/2 cup capacity, greased. Cook for 15 minutes in a moderate oven.
  • To make the syrup, combine the orange juice, the jam, the lemon juice, and the sugar in a medium saucepan over moderate heat. Simmer for 5 minutes with the soufflés.
