Easy French Toast

  • 1 cup cow's milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1/2 teaspoons nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon
  • 4 slices sandwich bread, thick slices
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup raw sugar
  • 1 cup mixed berries, for decoration
  • 1/4 cups icing sugar, for decoration
  • 1/2 cups maple syrup, for decoration

  • In a bowl, mix the egg with the milk, vanilla extract, and nutmeg.
  • Combine brown sugar with cinnamon on a plate. Set aside.
  • Soak the bread in the egg mixture on both sides until completely saturated.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter, cook the bread until golden, about 5 minutes. This may vary depending on the thickness of your bread.
  • Remove the bread from the skillet and sprinkle with the sugar and cinnamon mixture.
  • Serve with berries, powdered sugar, and maple honey. Enjoy.
