  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 2 cemita bread, in half
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • cinnamon sugar
  • maple syrup, to accompany

  • In a bowl, mix the milk, egg, and vanilla with a whisk.
  • Dip the cemita in the mixture and let it rest for a few seconds.
  • Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat and brown the cemita for a few minutes on each side. Remove and coat with sugar and cinnamon.
  • Serve the French bread-style cemita, garnish with berries, and drizzle with honey.
