Hot cakes with sausage

  • 1 3/4 cups Flour for Hot Cakes Tres Estrellas®
  • 1 3/4 cups whole milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 1 cup Manchego cheese, grated
  • butter, in cubes
  • 10 smoked sausages
  • butter
  • maple syrup, to drizzle over the hot cakes

  • In a bowl, mix the Tres Estrellas® Hot Cake Flour, milk, egg, and butter with a whisk. Mix well, add the cheese, and stir. Set aside the hot cake mixture.
  • Heat the butter in a skillet over medium heat, pour half a ladle of the mixture, forming a not-too-thick layer of hot cake, and spread gently. Cook for 4 minutes on each side. Repeat the same process with the entire mixture.
  • Fry the sausages one by one in a skillet over medium-high heat with a little butter. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  • Place a sausage in the middle of each hot cake and roll it up.
  • Serve the hot cakes with sausage on a plate and drizzle with maple syrup.
