Tricolor Hot Cakes

Give your breakfasts a twist with these tricolor hot cakes, which have the special touch of Galletas Marías Gamesa® and your favorite fruits, you'll love their taste!

  • 2 packages Marias Gamesa® Biscuits, of 170 g
  • 3 egg whites
  • 1/3 cups sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 cup low-fat milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla essence
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 cup flour, sifted
  • green gel food coloring
  • red gel food coloring
  • 1 tablespoon butter, in cubes
  • mixed berries, for decoration
  • Marias Gamesa® Biscuits, chopped, for decoration

  • Blend the Galletas Marías Gamesa® for 3 minutes or until well crushed. Set aside.
  • Place the egg whites in a bowl and use an electric or hand whisk to beat for 3 minutes or until stiff peaks form. Then, gradually add the sugar while continuing to whisk until well integrated. Finally, add the egg yolks, low-fat milk, vanilla extract, and melted butter.
  • Gradually incorporate the crushed Galletas Marías Gamesa® and the baking powder. Mix gently until well combined, then add the flour and stir until you obtain a homogeneous and semi-thick mixture.
  • Divide the hot cake mixture into three equal parts, color one portion with green dye, another with red dye, and leave one portion without dye. Mix well and set aside.
  • Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat and use a ladle to pour enough mixture with green dye. Cook the hot cake for 3 minutes on each side or until well cooked. Repeat the same procedure until finishing with the red mixture and the natural mixture.
  • Layer the tricolor hot cakes on a plate, alternating the colors and decorate with red fruits and Galletas Marías Gamesa®.
