Walnut bread

This nut bread spread with butter is very rich for breakfast

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 2/3 cups cow's milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cups vegetable oil
  • 1 cup walnuts, fine chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoons nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 teaspoons baking soda

  • Preheat the oven to 350ºF. In a large bowl combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Mix well with a balloon whisk.
  • Apart mix the milk, egg and oil. To make a hollow in the middle of the flour and to put the mixture of the liquids in the center, to stir carefully that it is well combined, to put the chopped nuts.
  • Distribute the mixture in 2 molds of 19cm long by 8.5cm wide and 6cm high, greased and floured. Bake 30 to 35 minutes.
  • When removing them from the oven put them to cool in a grate for 10 minutes. Then remove from the mold and let cool completely. Then wrap and store until the next day to highlight the flavor.
