Beef Alambre

This dish is very easy and delicious. Well known in Mexico, it is a must-have in a Mexican restaurant or taquería; it is an unmissable, simple dish to make, and full of flavor. I share the instructions so you can prepare and enjoy it.

  • 1/2 kilos beefsteak
  • 2 bell pepper, 1 green and 1 red
  • chile
  • 1/2 tablespoons ground garlic
  • 1/4 kilos Oaxaca cheese
  • 1/2 onions, chopped into medium cubes
  • salt
  • 100 grams chorizo
  • 100 grams deli ham
  • 100 grams bacon
  • 100 grams sausages

  • Cut the meat into pieces of approximately 2 cm
  • Chop the onion and peppers into pieces almost the same size as the meat. Chop the green chili into small pieces.
  • Cut the bacon and ham into cubes of approximately 1 cm Cut the sausage into small pieces and crumble the chorizo well.
  • In a spacious skillet, add a little oil. When it is heated, add the pieces of meat, bacon, ham, sausage, and chorizo, until they are half cooked.
  • Add all the chopped vegetables: onion, bell pepper, chili, and garlic. Continue frying, stirring occasionally, until everything is cooked to your liking.
  • Add salt and just before serving the alambre, place the Oaxaca cheese on top so it melts over the mixture of meat and vegetables.
