Grilled Burger with Fried Egg

These burgers are wrapped in bacon and filled with egg, making them extra special and delicious. With this recipe, your next barbecue will have a special touch and not just the classic burgers we always make. We recommend forming all the burgers to the same size for even cooking.

  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1/4 cups onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons parsley, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon chile flakes

  • 5 slices Manchego cheese
  • 5 slices cheddar cheese
  • 20 slices bacon
  • 1 white onion
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 5 San Juan® eggs
  • 1 teaspoon parsley, finely chopped
  • 5 burger buns
  • mayonnaise, for serving
  • mustard, for serving
  • lettuce, for serving
  • potato, wedges, to accompany

  • In a bowl, mix the ground beef with the ground pork, mustard, onion, garlic, parsley, cilantro, chili flakes, and season with salt and pepper.
  • Weigh portions of 200 g of meat and fill with cheddar and manchego cheese. Shape into a burger with your hands, ensuring that the cheese is well covered with meat.
  • Wrap each burger with bacon, securing with a toothpick if necessary.
  • Prepare the grill to 200 °C and cook the burgers over direct heat for 10 minutes, flipping halfway through cooking. Move to indirect heat and cook for an additional 10 minutes or until an internal temperature of 62 °C to 65 °C is reached.
  • Preheat a cast iron skillet on the grill over direct heat, add a tablespoon of olive oil, place the onion rings and crack each piece of Huevo San Juan® in the center of the onion.
  • Season with parsley, salt, and pepper. Cook over direct heat for 3 to 5 minutes or to desired egg doneness and remove.
  • Toast the buns on the grill over direct heat, spread with mayonnaise, mustard, and place the lettuce, meat, and the onion ring with fried egg.
  • Serve with wedge potatoes and a refreshing drink.
