Cabbage with Ground Beef

This recipe is ground beef with cabbage (col) and it's very good. Go ahead and prepare it; it's not complicated to make and aside from being good, it's very easy to prepare. You can accompany it with delicious red rice.

  • 1/2 kilos ground beef
  • 1 cabbage, (col)
  • 1/4 white onions
  • 1 tomatillo
  • 1 serrano chile
  • 1 can tomato purée
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1 cube chicken bullion
  • garlic salt, to taste
  • vegetable oil, as needed
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • salt, to taste
  • pepper, to taste

  • Fry the ground beef with oil in a large skillet and season it with garlic salt and pepper.
  • Chop the cabbage into julienne strips and wash it very well. Once the meat is cooked, add the cabbage along with the 2 sticks of butter.
  • Chop the tomato, green chili, and onion into small cubes.
  • Once the cabbage is half cooked, add the tomato, onion, and green chili, wait about 5 minutes, then add the tomato puree along with the chicken broth and water, and add salt to taste. Wait for it to boil for about 10 more minutes and it will be ready.
