Ground Beef Empanadas

Prepare these delicious empanadas filled with ground beef, olives, bell peppers, and potatoes. In a crispy dough, and the best part is that you don't need oil to fry them.

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/4 onions, finely chopped
  • 350 grams ground beef
  • 3/4 cups tomato purée
  • 2 red bell peppers, in small cubes
  • 1/4 cups olives, in slices
  • 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoons pepper
  • 1 egg yolk, for brushing

  • For the filling, heat oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the onion. Add the ground beef and cook for about 5 minutes or until cooked through. Add the tomato puree and mix.
  • Incorporate the bell pepper, olives, and spices. Cook on low heat for about 15 minutes. Cool and set aside.
  • Fill the empanada discs with the beef filling and brush the edges with egg yolk. Close and brush the outside.
  • Place the empanadas in the Philips® Airfryer and fry at 390°F for 8 to 10 minutes. Flip the empanadas halfway through the cooking process.
  • Serve immediately.
