Picadillo Flautas

Try this delicious and different option for eating flautas; it’s easy to prepare and will get you out of the routine. This recipe will delight your whole family, and they won’t be able to stop eating them.

  • 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cups white onion, minced
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 500 grams ground meat, beef
  • 2 tomatoes, quartered
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cube Knorr® tomato bouillon
  • 1/2 cups carrot, diced
  • 1/2 cups peas
  • 8 corn tortillas
  • 1/2 cups corn oil, for frying
  • 1/4 Romaine lettuces
  • 3/4 cups panela cheese, grated
  • 4 teaspoons sour cream, reduced fat

  • Heat 2 teaspoons of corn oil and fry the onion with the garlic. Add the meat and cook until golden brown.
  • Blend the tomato, water, and Knorr® Tomato Seasoning cube, strain, and set aside.
  • Pour the blended tomato into the pot with the meat, bring to a boil, add the vegetables, and cook over medium heat for 3 more minutes.
  • Spread the picadillo on the warmed tortillas and roll them into flautas.
  • Heat the oil and fry the flautas until crispy, let them drain on absorbent paper.
  • Serve two flautas per plate and garnish with lettuce, cheese, and cream.
