Discada Tacos

A simple and economical recipe for any occasion, discada has stood out as one of the main northern dishes. Here I present a variant that you can adapt to your tastes by including as many ingredients as you want or have at home.

  • 1/2 kilos skirt steak, milanesa, pulp, steak, or chicken
  • 250 grams bacon
  • sausages, to taste
  • 1/2 onions
  • 1/2 bell peppers
  • asadero cheeses, or Chihuahua cheese to taste
  • salt
  • pepper
  • flour tortillas, or corn
  • fresh cilantro, finely chopped, for garnish
  • onions, finely chopped, for garnish
  • limes, to taste, for garnish
  • salsas, for garnish
  • vegetable oil

  • In a skillet, pour a little oil and add the meat cut into small cubes (we can use as many types of meat as we want) and season with salt and pepper.
  • We add the bacon and sausages (they can be turkey, chicken, Polish, or grilling sausages).
  • We finely chop the onion and sauté it with the meat, bacon, and sausages.
  • The bell pepper is finely diced and added to the mixture.
  • Once the meat mixture is browned, remove from heat and sprinkle the grated cheese on top, which will melt with the heat.
  • In a bowl, we chop cilantro and mix it with finely chopped onion for garnish.
  • We heat the tortillas on the griddle and serve the tacos.
