Easy Beef Tinga

  • 500 grams skirt steak

  • 1/4 cups chipotle chile in adobo sauce, ground or whole, for the broth

  • In a pot over medium heat, heat the water with salt and cook the meat with the onion and garlic until tender, about 30 minutes. Reserve the broth, remove the meat, and shred it.
  • For the broth, blend the onion with the garlic, tomato, chipotle pepper, and beef broth. Season with salt and pepper.
  • In a deep skillet over medium heat, heat the oil and sauté the onion. When it becomes translucent, add the broth and let it come to a boil, cooking for about 15 minutes.
  • Add the meat, season, and cook for 10 more minutes.
  • Serve the tinga and garnish with red onion, cilantro, fresh cheese, and accompany with corn tortillas.
