Cream Cheese Stuffed Meatballs

For meatball lovers, we bring you this delicious recipe for beef meatballs stuffed with cream cheese in a saucy chipotle sauce made with the delicious Hunt’s® Chipotle BBQ sauce. You won’t believe how good they are.

  • 1 package cream cheese, 190 g
  • 2 tablespoons parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • salt and pepper
  • 500 grams ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cups Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/2 cups cream cheese
  • 4 tomatoes, for the sauce
  • 1/8 onions, for the sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, for the sauce
  • 2 morita chiles, roasted and soaked for the sauce
  • 1/4 cups Hunt's ® BBQ chipotle sauce, for the sauce
  • 1/4 cups chicken broth, for the sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, for the sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • parsley, for decoration

  • In a bowl, mix the cream cheese with the parsley, mustard, and season with salt and pepper. Set aside.
  • For the meatballs, mix the ground beef with the garlic powder, Parmesan cheese, and cream cheese. Season with salt and pepper and form the meatballs by hand, filling them with the previous mixture of cream cheese and parsley. Set aside.
  • For the sauce, blend the tomatoes with the onion, garlic, morita chili, Hunt’s® chipotle BBQ sauce, broth, cilantro, salt, and pepper.
  • In a pot over medium heat, heat the oil and fry the meatballs until golden. Add the sauce and let it come to a boil. Cover and cook for 20 minutes or until the sauce is thick and the meatballs are cooked through. Adjust seasoning.
  • Serve the meatballs garnished with parsley and accompanied by rice.
