  • In a large bowl, we add the ground meat, salt, ground cardamom, black pepper, and nutmeg. Then we add the beaten egg, the milk with the bread, and finally the caramelized onion. We mix to integrate the ingredients well.
  • We take equal portions of meat with a spoon and prepare our meatballs on a tray. Fry them in olive oil or butter in batches and set them aside to add them later to the sauce.
  • For the sauce, we prepare a thick-bottomed pan, melt the butter, add the flour all at once, and cook it for a few minutes until it turns coffee with milk color. At this point, we add the beef broth, stirring constantly so that lumps do not form, and let it cook for five minutes. We add the cream and cook our meatballs in the sauce for fifteen minutes. If the sauce is too thick, we can gradually add small portions of beef broth or water.
