Cordon Blue Beef Loin

Delicious rolls of beef loin filled with ham and cheese, with a crunchy coating. This is a very elegant recipe, perfect for a romantic dinner with your partner or to delight your family. The parmesan cheese adds an unmatched flavor to the beef loin.

  • 1 kilo beef tenderloin
  • 4 serrano hams
  • 4 slices Mozzarella cheese
  • 250 grams all-purpose wheat flour
  • 1 egg
  • vegetable oil, as needed
  • 1 lime
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • salt, to taste
  • pepper, to taste

  • In 250-gram portions, take thin fillets of beef loin and marinate them with a bit of lemon, garlic, salt, and pepper to taste.
  • Use the fillets as a base and place two slices of ham and two slices of cheese on each portion, alternating the ham and cheese.
  • Wrap the loin forming rolls and secure them with toothpicks.
  • In a bowl, crack the egg, beat it slightly, and gently coat the loin rolls.
  • Now, pass them through the flour; for a crunchier texture, use some crushed saltine crackers, fine herbs, oatmeal, or another cereal of your choice.
  • In a skillet, pour the oil and heat it to medium temperature, so the loins brown and cook perfectly.
  • Remove them and place them on absorbent paper.
