Tricolor Flautas

The best tricolor flautas to honor the national festivities. Crispy tortilla filled with beef flank, served with three different sauces to allude to the Mexican flag. Shine this September 15th and prepare them.

  • 3 cups water
  • 1/4 onions
  • 1 clove garlic, medium
  • 500 grams skirt steak
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 9 corn tortillas, large for flautas
  • 3 tomatillos, for the green sauce
  • 1/8 onions, for the green sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 avocados, for the green sauce
  • 3 serrano chiles, for green sauce
  • 3 tomatoes, for red sauce
  • 1/8 onions, for the red sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, small
  • 1 tablespoon chipotle chile in adobo sauce, for red sauce
  • 1 cup Lala® sour cream
  • 1 cup Lala® panela cheese
  • 2 grams salt

  • Cook the beef flank in a medium pot over medium heat with the water, onion, and garlic for 30 minutes or until tender. Remove and shred the meat.
  • Place the meat in the flauta tortillas and roll them perfectly, closing with a toothpick to prevent them from falling apart.
  • Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat, fry the flautas until golden. Drain excess fat on absorbent paper and set aside.
  • To prepare the green sauce, blend the tomatoes, onion, garlic, avocado, and serrano peppers. Season and set aside.
  • Cook the tomato, onion, and garlic in a small pot over medium heat for 5 minutes. Remove and blend in the blender with the chipotle pepper, season, and set aside.
  • Serve 3 flautas on a wide plate, drenching one with green sauce, the second with Lala® Sour Cream and Lala® Panela Cheese, and the third with red sauce. Ready to enjoy.
