Chicken Flautas with Nopal Tortilla

Flautas are a variant of tacos and come from their elongated shape; these chicken flautas will delight you with their exquisite flavor, and with nopal tortillas, they are the best option to enjoy Mexican cuisine.

  • 2 tomatoes, grilled
  • 4 guajillo chiles, deveined and grilled
  • 1 clove garlic, grilled
  • 1/4 onions, grilled
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 chicken breast, shredded
  • salt and pepper
  • 500 grams Señor Cactus® nopal tortilla
  • 2 cups vegetable oil
  • green salsa, for accompaniment
  • sour cream, for accompaniment
  • queso fresco, for accompaniment

  • In a blender, blend the tomato with the guajillo chili, garlic, and onion until you obtain a sauce.
  • In a pan over low heat, pour in the sauce and season with salt and pepper, and let it cook for 10 minutes.
  • Add the chicken and let it cook for 2 more minutes. Let it cool and set aside.
  • Heat the Señor Cactus® nopal tortillas.
  • Place two tortillas on top of each other and fill with the previous preparation, roll them up.
  • In a pan over medium heat, heat the oil and fry the tacos until they are golden brown.
