Chicken Francese

  • 1 chicken, large
  • 100 grams butter
  • 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 12 green onions
  • pepper
  • 5 slices deli ham, in strips
  • 1/2 kilos peas

  • Cut the chicken into eight pieces, brown them in the butter and tablespoons of oil.
  • Season with salt and pepper.
  • Add the green onions, a few tablespoons of water, and a teaspoon of sugar over the green onions.
  • Cook for half an hour with the pot covered, and add the two slices of ham cut into strips, the peas, and a few more tablespoons of water.
  • Cook for another half an hour uncovered.
