  • 1 kilo chicken breast, cut into thick strips
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 6 chunks cinnamon
  • 1 cup onion, chopped white
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 2 teaspoons curry powder
  • 1/2 tablespoons salt
  • 1/4 cups almonds, lightly toasted and ground
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cups sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 4 tablespoons almonds, sliced for garnish

  • Heat oil in a large pan and cook the cinnamon for 1-2 minutes. Add the garlic and onion and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Add the curry and salt to the pan. Add the chicken broth and the chicken, and cook until it boils. Cover, reduce the heat, and cook for 35 minutes.
  • Remove the chicken from the pan with a spoon and cook the broth over medium heat for 10 more minutes. Add the cream and flour to the mixture.
  • Return the chicken to the pan, add the almonds, and cook for 5 more minutes. Remove from heat.
  • Remove the cinnamon before serving.
