Cheese Stuffed Chicken Breasts

This is not your typical chicken. The breasts are stuffed with cheddar cheese, cream cheese, and a garlic, butter, and lemon sauce. Friends and family will frequently ask for it once they've tried it.

  • Preheat the oven to 175°C. Lightly grease a shallow baking dish.
  • Make a deep incision in the center and along each breast, but without separating completely. Place a slice of cheddar cheese and cream cheese in the center of each breast. Close the breast like a book. Set aside.
  • Pour the milk into a bowl. In another container, mix the breadcrumbs with the parmesan cheese. Carefully dip each breast in the milk and then in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly with your hand to ensure it sticks well. Place the breasts in the baking dish in a single layer.
  • Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the lemon juice and garlic. Drizzle evenly over the chicken. Season with garlic salt and paprika (if you decided to use it).
  • Bake for 30 minutes, or until the chicken has lost its pink color and its juices run clear.
