Chicken with Apple Sauce

Try this quick chicken breast recipe, perfect for your big dinners or special occasions. This creamy chicken with apple sauce pairs very well with a bit of salad and bread, and it only takes 45 minutes in the kitchen to prepare. Don’t forget to add some chopped almonds before serving.

  • Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat, fry the chicken breast and season with salt and pepper. Remove the chicken from the saucepan and set aside.
  • In the same saucepan, sauté the onion and garlic. Add the apple and cook for a few minutes. Pour in the lemon juice, white wine, honey, and mustard; cook until the smell of the wine is no longer overpowering. Incorporate the chicken, add the heavy cream, apple juice, and chicken broth, stirring constantly. Season with salt and pepper and cook for 8 more minutes.
  • Remove the breasts from the sauce and slice. Serve on a flat plate, add sauce and apple, and garnish with almonds and thyme.
