Chicken Curry with Yoghurt

  • 17.6 ounces tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons curry, in hot pasta
  • 14 ounces chicken breast, cut into small pieces
  • 1/4 liters FAGE® Total 0% greek style yogurt
  • 1/2 teaspoons granulated sugar
  • salt, and pepper
  • 2 teaspoons vegetable oil, (for the rice)
  • 1 onion, sliced (for the rice)
  • 1 1/2 pounds white rice, cooked (for the rice)
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 ounce seedless raisin
  • fresh cilantro, chopped, for garnish

  • Place the tomato sauce in a small saucepan, add the curry paste, and heat gently.
  • Meanwhile, for the rice, heat the oil in a pan and sauté the onion for 4 minutes until well browned.
  • Add the rice, turmeric, and raisins, set to low heat for 3-4 minutes, adding a little water if the mixture is dry.
  • Add the chicken and FAGE® Total 0% Greek Yoghurt to the tomato mixture, bring to a boil and simmer for 2 minutes until heated through.
  • Add the sugar and season to taste.
  • Season the rice, divide onto plates.
  • Pour over the chicken mixture and garnish with cilantro.
