Chicken with Mango and White Wine Sweet and Sour Sauce

  • 1 jar sweet and sour mango sauce Cocina Mestiza®
  • 8 chickens
  • 1 onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 cup chicken bullion
  • 1/2 cups white wine
  • salt, to taste
  • pepper, to taste

  • Clean and season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper.
  • Blend the onion, garlic, salt, and pepper with a little water in a blender. Pour this mixture into a large plastic bag and add the chicken. Mix well with your hands to ensure the chicken is coated and let it marinate for 1 to 6 hours.
  • In a pot that can hold all the chicken pieces, heat a little oil and butter. Place 3 pieces and brown them on both sides. Place on paper towels to absorb the excess oil and continue with the other pieces, working in batches of 3. Add oil and butter as necessary and keep the heat low to prevent the onion from burning.
  • When finished, drain the excess oil from the pot and remove the toasted particles that remained. Put the chicken pieces back in and pour the rest of the ingredients into the pot. Cover and cook on low heat, moving the pieces to ensure even cooking. The mango sauce should be consumed until the pieces appear glazed.
