Wash the chicken and place it with small pieces of margarine.
Add the potatoes, onion, and canned pineapple.
Spread the chicken broth well inside and outside.
Cover the baking dish well with aluminum foil so that the meat doesn't dry out and stays tender.
Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
Check every 30 minutes, with a maximum cooking time of 1 hour. Keep checking because some ovens heat unevenly; if that's the case, turn the baking dish so it cooks evenly. Poke with a fork; if it feels tender, remove and serve.
