Stewed Chicken

  • 1 chicken
  • salt, and pepper to taste
  • vegetable oil, as needed
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 onion
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 1 carrot
  • 7 potatoes, medium
  • 50 milliliters sour cream
  • 1 sprig parsley
  • 1 lettuce
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 pinch nutmeg
  • 50 milliliters olive oil
  • 1 dash honey
  • salt, and pepper to taste

  • Cut the chicken into pieces, season all the pieces with salt and pepper to taste. Heat the chicken in a saucepan with a little oil and two tablespoons of butter. Cook until sealed and golden brown, then add the onion, bell pepper, carrot, and simmer on low heat for 40 minutes.
  • Boil the potatoes in water with a handful of salt. Once cooked, sauté them with a little butter, sour cream, chopped parsley, and season with salt and pepper to taste. You can also leave them cooked and cut into quarters with just butter and salt.
  • Serve with a salad of lettuce, tomato, and onion. Make a dressing using olive oil, the juice of two lemons, a splash of honey, a pinch of nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Mix well until everything is combined and pour over the salad.
