Congee

  • 900 milliliters chicken broth
  • 2 carrots
  • 150 grams rice

  • Wash the chicken and vegetables. Then peel and cut the carrot into cubes.
  • Slice the green onion head into rounds and reserve the stem.
  • Put the chicken broth, wine, chicken, onion, and carrots in a pot, and simmer on low heat for 25 minutes.
  • Take out the chicken to shred after 25 minutes.
  • Add the rice to the pot and cook for 20 minutes; once the chicken is shredded, add it back to the pot.
  • Season with salt and pepper and serve, placing the green onion on top.
