Easy Fried Chicken

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder, for the marinade
  • 1 teaspoon mustard, for the marinade

  • 6 pieces chicken drumstick, with skin
  • 1 1/2 cups wheat flour, for the breading
  • 1/2 cups cornstarch, for the breading
  • 1 teaspoon white pepper, for the breading
  • 2 tablespoons paprika, for the breading
  • 1/4 tablespoons ginger powder, for the breading
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder, for the breading
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin, for the breading
  • salt, for the breading
  • vegetable oil, for frying

  • In a bowl, mix the milk with the egg, garlic powder, mustard, and sufficient salt and pepper until well combined. Add the chicken pieces and cover with plastic wrap. Let marinate for 1 hour in the refrigerator.
  • In a large bowl, mix the all-purpose flour with cornstarch, white pepper, paprika, ground ginger, garlic powder, and cumin. Season with salt and set aside.
  • Once the chicken has marinated for the appropriate time, drain the excess liquid from the chicken piece and place it on the seasoned flour. Coat it completely.
  • Fry the chicken in hot vegetable oil over medium heat for a few minutes, until the crust is golden and the chicken is cooked inside. Drain. Repeat with all pieces.
  • Serve with coleslaw.
