This ground beef tinga recipe is a different version of the classic preparation in Mexican homes. The base of this tinga is a tomato sauce with chipotle chili made with a generous amount of sautéed onion and a little ground beef. Blend the tomato, onion, garlic, chipotle chili, beef broth, salt, and pepper.
Heat a skillet over medium heat, add vegetable oil, add the onion and sauté for 5 minutes until it loses moisture and the onion becomes transparent and very soft. Add the ground beef and sauté for 5 more minutes. Add the sauce and cook for 10 minutes or until the sauce reduces to ¼ of the liquid. Remove from heat.
Serve the tinga hot, accompany it with tostadas topped with beans, cream, cheese, and your preferred salsa. Pair with Bonafont® Jamaica fresh water.
