Meat Picadillo

Picadillo is a very delicious recipe, easy to prepare and very comforting. This recipe is a favorite for many and has a lot of flavor.

  • 1 kilo ground beef
  • 2 potatoes
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 150 grams tomato, 150 grams
  • 1/4 cups green olives
  • 3 tablespoons tomato purée
  • 1 tablespoon cumin powder
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon Tabasco sauce
  • pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cups peas
  • 2 carrots, in cubes

  • Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Sauté the onion, garlic, carrots, and potatoes in the oil for 2 minutes.
  • Add the meat and cook for 1 more minute.
  • Add all the remaining ingredients and cook until it boils.
  • Cover the skillet and reduce to low heat, cook for 25 minutes or until the meat is well cooked.
