Meatza Pie

What happens if you combine a meatloaf with a pizza? Well, a “Meatza Pie” or also known as “Meat-za Pie”! It sounds like a bad joke, but it’s not bad at all! We get something that looks very much like a pizza but without the dough.

  • 80 grams bread crumbs

  • Gouda cheeses, or havarti, several slices

  • In a bowl, put the ground meat, breadcrumbs, and milk.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Mix everything well with a good wooden spoon.
  • Place the meat mixture on a round baking plate or tray and flatten the mixture with your hand or the back of a spoon until it takes the shape of the plate and the surface is smooth.
  • Cover with the fried tomato until it is uniform and the meat is covered.
  • Cut the Havarti or Gouda cheese into longitudinal strips approximately 1-1.5 cm wide.
  • Place the strips of cheese over the fried tomato, designing to taste.
  • Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
  • Add oregano, to taste, over the entire surface.
  • Bake at 205ºC for 20-25 minutes.
