Picadillo a la Mexicana

Picadillo is a great stew to accompany with tostadas, in tacos, or served with rice, etc. very tasty.

  • 1 kilo ground meat
  • 2 potatoes, (to taste) cut into small cubes
  • 3 tomatoes, cut into small cubes
  • 2 serrano chiles, (optional) cut into small cubes
  • 1/2 onions, in cubes
  • 1 little box tomatillo
  • vegetable oil
  • water

  • In a skillet, add oil. Not too much.
  • Add the meat, brown it a little, then add the potatoes and the chopped onion. Stir to combine.
  • Add the chopped chili. Continue sautéing until the meat is browned.
  • Add the chopped tomato, add water just to the level of the meat, or just cover it a little. Cover the skillet. Let it boil and allow the water to evaporate.
