Argentine Sandwich

This Argentine sandwich is very famous and is known in its country as “choripán,” which includes a grilled sausage and is accompanied by chimichurri, enhancing the flavor with McCormick®.

  • 1 cup parsley, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon red ají
  • 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 tablespoons lime juice
  • salt

  • 3/4 cups olive oil
  • olive oil, to fry the sausage
  • 4 Argentinian chorizos
  • 1 cup Manchego cheese, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 telera rolls, halved
  • McCormick® Chipotle Flavored Mayonnaise Dressing
  • soda, to accompany

  • In a bowl, add the parsley, garlic, oregano, olive oil, red chili, red wine vinegar, and lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper and mix until combined. Refrigerate until use.
  • In a grill or skillet, heat oil over medium heat and cook the sausage until it changes color and is well cooked, add the cheese and let it melt for 2 minutes. Set aside.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and place the tops of the rolls. Cook for two minutes on each side until lightly toasted. Remove from heat and spread enough McCormick® Chipotle-flavored Mayonnaise Dressing on the other side.
  • Place the Argentine sausage on the bread, drizzle with chimichurri, and close it. Pair your Argentine sandwich with a refreshing soda.
