Pork Loin in Mandarin Sauce

Celebrate Christmas with this recipe for pork loin in mandarin sauce and Oli de Nutrioli Extra Virgen®, which will give you a delicious Christmas dinner. This pork loin is ideal for pampering your family during the holiday season, as it is very generous and nutritious. It is marinated with honey, paprika, orange juice, soy sauce, among other things, and we recommend basting it constantly in its juices to keep it hydrated during cooking.

  • 2 kilos pork loin
  • 1/2 cups honey
  • 3 tablespoons paprika
  • 3 tablespoons onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cups orange juice
  • 1/4 cups soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons Oli de Nutrioli® olive oil, for sealing
  • 1 tablespoon Oli de Nutrioli® extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 onions
  • 1 tablespoon shallot
  • 1/4 cups celery
  • 1/4 cups carrot
  • 1 cup mandarin orange
  • 2 tablespoons raw sugar
  • 1/2 cups chicken broth
  • pepper

  • Using hemp string, tie the loin to achieve even cooking.
  • For the marinade, in a bowl mix the honey, paprika, onion powder, pepper, garlic, orange juice, and soy sauce; add the loin and marinate for 30 minutes.
  • Seal the loin in a pan with Oli de Nutrioli Olive Oil® on both sides. Remove and place on a baking tray along with the rest of the marinade. Bake at 200 °C.
  • For the mandarin sauce, in a pan add Oli de Nutrioli Extra Virgen® and sauté the onion, shallot, celery, carrot, mandarin, brown sugar, chicken broth, and pepper; let it reduce and blend. Set aside.
  • Let the loin rest for 5 minutes on a cutting board and slice with the help of a knife.
  • Serve and drizzle with the mandarin sauce, decorate with mandarin segments and fresh thyme. Accompany with salad.
