Sweet and Sour Pork Bowl

If you are looking to reduce your carbohydrate intake, this recipe with cauliflower bits can help you a lot. It is a very easy dish to prepare, featuring crispy and delicious sweet and sour pork. To ensure the pork cooks well without burning, fry it first on low heat and then on high heat.

  • 300 grams pork loin, cut into strips

  • 1/4 cups green onion, (green onion tops)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 package Eva® cauliflower bits, 454 grams
  • black sesame seeds
  • red cabbage, cut into strips
  • carrot, cut into thin slices
  • cucumber, cut into slices
  • fresh cilantro
  • green onion, (green onion tops)

Low
  • In a bowl, marinate the pork with soy sauce, Knorr® Vegetable Broth, rice vinegar, and egg for 15 minutes. Set aside.
  • In another bowl, mix the previously marinated pork with wheat flour, Maizena® Cornstarch, and fry all the strips over medium heat until golden and crispy; place on absorbent paper and set aside.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat with the oil, fry the garlic, pour in the orange juice, rice vinegar, ketchup, Knorr® Vegetable Broth, sweet chili sauce, Maizena® Cornstarch, and cook until you get a thick sauce. Then add the pork strips to the sauce and cook for 2 more minutes; sprinkle with the green onion tops and set aside.
  • In a small pot with boiling water, rice vinegar, and sugar, cook the Eva® Cauliflower Bits according to the package instructions. Remove from cooking and set aside.
  • Serve the previous preparation in a bowl with the sweet and sour pork, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and accompany with cabbage, carrot, cucumber, and cilantro. Enjoy.
