Sweet and Sour Pork with Pineapple

  • 1 cup bacon, thick, in medium cubes
  • 1 cup canned pineapple, in cubes
  • 3/4 cups syrup
  • 1 1/2 cups pineapple juice
  • pasta, for serving
  • baguette, for serving

  • Season the Proan® Pork Loin with salt and pepper. Heat a little oil in a cast-iron skillet and sear the loin for 3 minutes on each side or until fully sealed. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, fry the bacon for 5 minutes or until golden brown. Add the pineapple and cook for 5 minutes. Place the Proan® Pork Loin, pour in the syrup and pineapple juice, cover with aluminum foil, and bake at 180 °C for 45 minutes.
  • Cut the pork loin into slices, serve, and accompany with white rice and bread.
