This dish is inspired by the classic asado de puerco, a typical stew from northern Mexico made with pork cooked in water with a sauce of guajillo and ancho chilies. Now we add a unique twist by incorporating the incredible Hunt’s Original BBQ sauce. Don't miss out on making it!
4 guajillo chiles, cleaned and deveined, for the sauce
1 ancho chile, clean and deveined, for the sauce
2 tomatoes, for the sauce
1 clove garlic, for the sauce
1/2 onions, for the sauce
1/2 teaspoons oregano, for the sauce
3 allspice berries, for the sauce
1/4 teaspoons cumin, for the sauce
salt
2 tablespoons lard, or oil
1/4 cups Hunt´S ® original bbq sauce
1 leaf bay
1 orange peels
salt
parsley, for garnish

Cook the meat in boiling water with salt, garlic cloves, and onion until cooked through. Drain and set aside.
For the sauce, in a pot of boiling water, cook the chilies with the tomato, garlic, and onion for about 10 minutes. Let it cool slightly.
Blend the previous preparation with oregano, pepper, cumin, and salt.
Heat the oil or lard in a pot over medium heat, add the pork, and sauté lightly. Add Hunt’s® Original BBQ sauce and cook for a few minutes.
Incorporate the guajillo chili sauce. Once it comes to a boil, add the bay leaf and orange peel, cook for a few more minutes, and season with salt. Serve with parsley, tortillas, and rice.
