Pork Loin in Orange Sauce

A delicious and easy way to prepare pork loin in a sauce made with orange juice, white wine, and cilantro.

  • 1 kilo pork loin
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
  • 1 1/2 cups onion, slice
  • 1/4 teaspoons pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoons nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoons ground mustard
  • 1 1/2 cups orange juice
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup white wine
  • 1/2 cups fresh cilantro
  • pinches cornstarch, if necessary

  • Cut the garlic into strips and insert them into the loin. Season with salt and pepper and sear it in the oil.
  • In the same pot, add the onion and let it color. Add the pepper, nutmeg, mustard, orange juice, chicken broth, white wine, and cilantro and let it boil for a few minutes.
  • Add the loin to the pot and put it in the oven for 45 minutes to an hour until tender (at 180 degrees Celsius). Remove it from the oven and let it cool in the sauce.
  • Once at room temperature, slice the loin and place it on a platter. Then thicken the sauce with a little cornstarch (only if necessary), seasoning with salt and pepper.
  • Strain the sauce and pour it over the loin. Garnish with slices of orange, and serve with glazed carrots and potatoes.
