Steak with Potatoes and Nopales in Green Sauce

This recipe is a popular dish in Mexico, very quick to prepare and tasty. Prepare this stew of steak, potatoes, and nopales accompanied by a tangy and delicious green sauce. How about pairing it with a Del Valle Frut?

  • 4 cups water
  • 2 cups tomatillo, For the sauce
  • 1/4 onions, For the sauce
  • 4 serrano chiles, For the sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, For the sauce
  • 1 sprig fresh cilantro, For the sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1/4 onions, sliced
  • 4 beefsteaks
  • 2 cups nopal, cooked
  • 2 potatoes, cut into medium cubes and precooked
  • salt
  • corn tortillas, to accompany

  • Heat the water, add the tomatoes, onion, serrano chili and cook for 5 min.
  • Blend the tomatoes, onion, chili, garlic, and cilantro.
  • Heat the oil, add the onion and fry until transparent, add the meat and cook for 5 minutes until cooked.
  • Add the nopales, potatoes, pour the sauce and season with salt. Cook for 5 more minutes.
  • Serve accompanied by tortillas and white rice.
