Turkey and Cheese Phyllo Pie

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/4 onions
  • 2 cups turkey breast, cut into cubes
  • 2 cups spinach, cut into strips
  • 1 cup red bell pepper, cut into small cubes
  • 3 pinches salt
  • 1 teaspoon thyme, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cups cow's milk
  • 3 Philadelphia® cream cheese, 190g each
  • 300 grams phyllo dough
  • 1/2 cups butter, clarified

  • Preheat the oven to 200°C.
  • Heat the butter in a large skillet over medium heat, add the garlic, onion, and sauté for 2 minutes, then add the turkey and fry for 5 more minutes. Add the spinach, bell pepper, season, add the thyme, and cook for an additional 5 minutes. Finally, add the milk and remove from heat.
  • Incorporate the Philadelphia® Cheese and mix well. You should end up with a creamy mixture.
  • Place a layer of phyllo pastry sheets in a baking dish, brushing each layer with clarified butter to soften. Add turkey filling, repeat the process, and finish with a layer of phyllo pastry.
  • Bake for 25 to 35 minutes or until the phyllo pastry is golden brown, being careful not to burn it.
