Turkey Meatballs with Parmesan Cheese Sauce

  • 1 cup FAGE® Total 0% greek style yogurt
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 3/4 cups Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cups flour
  • 250 grams turkey breast, ground
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cups breadcrumbs
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 10 grams salt
  • 1/4 teaspoons pepper
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley

  • Place the FAGE Total® 0% yogurt in a pot, add the garlic clove and 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese. Mix until the cheese melts.
  • In a skillet, melt the butter and add the flour, whisk quickly to form a smooth dough. Cook it for about 5 minutes or until it takes on a light golden color. Add this dough to the FAGE Total® 0% yogurt sauce with grated cheese and whisk until you get a creamy and lump-free sauce.
  • Mix the ground turkey breast with the egg, breadcrumbs, garlic, and the rest of the Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper. Form small balls and brown in a hot skillet with a little vegetable oil.
  • Once sealed, transfer the meatballs to the pot with the FAGE Total® 0% yogurt sauce and Parmesan cheese, cover, and let cook for 10 minutes over medium heat.
  • Serve.
