Turkey Stuffing

This bread-based stuffing recipe is the traditional one for Thanksgiving turkey. It is the perfect side dish for turkey and is also very delicious and easy to prepare.

  • 180 grams butter
  • 450 grams white bread, in cubes
  • 1 yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups celery, chopped into cubes
  • 1 bunch parsley, finely chopped
  • 4 sage, only the finely chopped leaves
  • 3 tablespoons rosemary, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons thyme, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Great Value® plain salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 1/2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 eggs

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • Place the bread cubes on a baking tray and bake until dry, stirring occasionally. About 30 minutes. Set aside.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 1 1/2 sticks of butter and add the onion and celery. Cook until translucent.
  • Combine the sautéed onion and celery with the bread cubes in a large bowl and mix.
  • Add all the spices and 1 1/4 cups of chicken broth. Mix very well and pour into a greased baking dish.
  • In a small bowl, combine the remaining chicken broth and the eggs, whisk together to incorporate and pour into the baking dish. Mix.
  • Add pieces of the remaining butter on top of the preparation and cover with aluminum foil. Bake for about 40 minutes.
  • Remove the aluminum foil and bake for 5 more minutes to color. Serve immediately. Buy HERE
