Glazed Turkey Breast with Bacon

This recipe for stuffed turkey breast with apple is everything your Christmas dinner needed to be a success, as it is wrapped in delicious bacon and glazed with a honey and mustard sauce. Preparing this glaze will be very simple with your Vitamix®, as you will see that there are no spills when blending hot preparations. Remember to constantly brush the bacon with the glaze during baking, to make it very shiny and perfect.

  • 1/2 cups butter, for the glaze
  • 3 cloves garlic, for the glaze
  • 1 onion, cut into pieces, for the glaze
  • 1 cup orange juice, for the glaze
  • 1 cup mandarin orange wedges, for the glaze
  • 1 cup white wine, for the glaze
  • 1 cup honey, for the glaze
  • 1 sprig thyme, for the glaze
  • 1 sprig rosemary, for the glaze
  • 1/4 cups Dijon mustard, for the glaze
  • 1 turkey breast, 2-3 kilos
  • 3 apples, cut into cubes
  • salt

  • Preheat the oven to 200 °C.
  • For the glaze, heat a small pot over medium heat with the butter and cook the garlic with the onion until they are translucent; add the orange juice, the mandarin wedges, the white wine, the honey, the thyme, the rosemary, and the Dijon mustard.
  • Cook the sauce until it reaches a semi-thick syrup, remove from heat and blend in your Vitamix® until you achieve a smooth glaze. Set aside.
  • On a cutting board and with the help of a knife, stuff the turkey with the apples, as shown in the video. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Arrange the bacon slices on a tray lined with aluminum foil and place the turkey breast. Wrap with the bacon and seal the foil well. Bake for 45 minutes or until almost cooked.
  • Remove the turkey breast from the oven, unwrap and brush the bacon with the glaze, return to the oven until achieving a perfect glaze and the breast is fully cooked.
  • Slice and arrange on a platter, decorate with apple and mandarin wedges.
