Easy White Wine Orange Turkey

  • 1 cup bacon, chopped, for the filling
  • 1/2 cups onion, chopped, for the filling
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, chopped, for the filling
  • 400 grams ground meat, beef
  • 400 grams ground meat, pork
  • 1 apple, diced, for the filling
  • 1/4 cups walnuts, chopped, for the filling
  • 1/4 cups cranberries, for the filling

  • 2 cups Mr. Pavo® traditional sauce
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup shallot
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sage, fresh, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon thyme, finely chopped
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 1/4 cups white wine
  • orange, sliced, for decoration

  • Preheat the oven to 200°C.
  • For the filling, in a medium skillet, fry the bacon, add the onion, garlic, celery, pork, and beef, cook until the meat releases all its juices, add the apple, walnuts, and cranberries, season with salt and pepper. Let it cool.
  • Inject the turkey with 1 cup of Mr. Pavo® Traditional Sauce using the Mr. Pavo® syringe. Fill it with the previous preparation and tie the legs with hemp thread.
  • In a pot, melt the butter and add the shallot, parsley, sage, thyme, orange, white wine, and the rest of the Mr. Pavo® Traditional Sauce, let it come to a boil and remove.
  • Place the turkey inside a Mr. Pavo® Baking Bag and bathe it with the previous preparation. Close and make 4 incisions on the top of the bag.
  • Bake the turkey for 3 to 4 hours or until cooked.
  • Remove from the oven, take it out of the bag, and serve decorated with oranges and fresh herbs.
