  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 piloncillo, large, in pieces
  • 1/2 cups hibiscus flower, washed
  • 1/2 cups tamarind pods, peeled
  • 1/2 cups sugarcane, peeled, in thick strips
  • 1 cup tejocote
  • 1/2 cups prunes
  • 1 1/2 cups apple, quartered
  • 1 cup guava

  • Heat the water with cinnamon and piloncillo in a pot over medium heat. When the piloncillo dissolves, add the hibiscus flower and cook on high heat for 5 minutes.
  • Add tamarind, sugar cane, tejocote, prunes, apple, and guava.
  • Cook the fruit punch for 35 minutes or until all the fruit is soft and well cooked.
  • Serve in a cup with fruits and garnish with sugar cane.
