How to make turkey stuffing?

This delicious stuffing is perfect for accompanying your turkey or for stuffing it, making it very juicy and full of flavor!

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 cup wild rice
  • 2 cups water, to cook the rice
  • salt, to cook the rice
  • 2 tablespoons butter, in medium cubes
  • 1 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 kilo ground pork
  • 1 kilo ground beef
  • 1/4 cups celery, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cups white wine
  • 1 1/2 cups apple, cut into medium cubes
  • 1 cup almonds, sliced
  • 1 cup cranberries
  • cinnamon powder
  • salt
  • pepper

  • Heat the oil in a pot over medium heat, add the wild rice and cook for 5 minutes or until lightly browned. Add water and salt and cook covered for 15 minutes over low-medium heat. Set aside.
  • In a deep skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add onion and garlic and cook for 2 minutes. Then, add the pork, beef, and celery and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Add white wine for more flavor and to hydrate the stuffing. Add the apple, sliced almonds, cranberries, and cinnamon. Season with salt and pepper and cook for 2 more minutes.
  • Serve the rice and mix with the above to accompany the turkey. If the stuffing will be used raw to cook the turkey, mix everything in a bowl, stuff the turkey, and tie the legs with twine tightly to prevent the stuffing from leaking out. The rice should only be partially cooked for 5 minutes; its cooking will finish inside the turkey, preventing it from breaking apart or overcooking.
  • Serve the stuffing alongside the turkey.
